Just Like Old Times- Sidelights of the October Homecoming

Ehem Tabi!

"Dingdong" (Bitan-o version) explaining to Marian the essence of Ora, Stude et Labora... I also converted mood from Indicative to Subjunctive, from Active to Passive and then back. I could not decline in the five forms as these are verbs not nouns(according to Latin Scholar emeritus Dr. Israel Gamis)...and what fool will want to decline Marian? I hope one of our Latin teachers will get to read this post and review the grades he gave to Israel 20+ years ago.

What could have been...

Marian and Dingdong ( 42 year old, recycled version), if only I had been born twenty years earlier in Cavite, not Sorsogon, and pursued my dream to be an action cum bold star, as my friend Binoy advised me...moral of the story: Listen to the advise of not-so-well-meaning friends ( sorry Binoy joke lang tabi), and then do the opposite... hehe

I will be the first to confess that I am not as good looking as Haile, Bomick or my mestizo pinsan Raul Fortades or any of the other twenty-one super macho members of the Class of '83.Pero kaipuhan baya talaga maging gwapo para kupuun ka ni Valerie Concepcion? Lain ko man lang nasabi saiya na birthday ko, tsk tsk!

Amo lang talaga ini an wara sa Penafrancia.

The Day After the Reunion

The activity at OLPS was not the only event. The day after the class went to Tulong gapo and then upon the invitation of Msgr Paquito went to Fatima Parish for dinner. Joining us the day after was Raul Fortades ( all the way from the U.S. ( ma-konsensya ka tabi Dennis, Tuyi nan Bukag). Perry Labayo and Haile who arrived the day after. Meo Escandor joined us during the fellowship with the teachers, but had to leave the early following day.

Of course aram na niyo an highlight of the three days. In para libak kamo san saro katawo na yadi sa mga picture ( my lips are sealed and that is the reason why sige namun an tawa). Nagpara kulog mga dila niyo? Baya-i lang, ako ngani na yadto nadisgrasya man sa paloko sa favorite classmate natun.
